Pretty much everyone gets to experience how toothache feels like, at some point in their life. Here are some remedies, which should help you get rid of toothache when it appears.
The simplest option at your disposal when you have a toothache is to go to a dentist, to fix the problem. Sometimes though, a visit to the dentist isn’t an option, and the reasons for that can be more than one.
First of all, the price might be a problem. Going to the dentist isn’t cheap and everyone knows that. If you have problems with money and you don’t have any dental cover, going to the dentist is no longer an option.
Another issue might be that the dentist is not available. This is especially true if you have a toothache during the holidays, when the dentist has a vacation.
Another reason might be that you hate visiting dentists, and that’s the problem that affects me. When I was young I had problems with a dentist, and it pretty much affected me for life. I still have problems with dentists and the smell in their offices to this day.
If you have one of the problems I mentioned above, and going to a dentist isn’t an option, you can go with a natural toothache remedy. Below are some remedies that worked for me when I had a toothache.
Oil of Cloves was the first remedy I tried for toothache. It can usually be found at local chemists and the price is quite low. Just leave a drop on your tooth, letting it go to your gum, which will absorb it. The pain will decrease because the nerve will be numb because of the oil.
Salt can be a very effective remedy for toothache, as long as the pain is only mild. To try it, fill a glass with some warm water and put salt inside. Next, swish the liquid around the mouth.
Garlic made into a paste by mashing it can be a good remedy if you have a toothache. Adding a bit of water will help you make it a paste. Put that paste on the area that hurts and rub it so it is absorbed. Since garlic is considered to be a natural antibiotic, it can sometimes help.
These are the remedies that helped me most when I had toothaches. They’re not the only ones, but they worked best for me. Sometimes though, your only option is to visit a dentist, if nothing else works.
